The IMF logo has four distinct symbols:
- The Cross. Symbolic of the power of the gospel. The whole essence of the Christian walk is anchored on the sacrifice of Jesus. IMF is a gathering of men and women who are born again.
- The Bible. Symbolic of the word of God. The word of God is our foundation. All our policies are anchored on God’s word.
- The Church. Our First environment is the church environment. We are gospel preachers from different church denominations coming together for a common goal.
- The Community. Our impact is not limited to the church environment; we get involved in social services, impacting the IGBO heritage with the influence of God through the gospel and social services.
IMF Statement of Faith
The IMF International subscribes to the following in faith and practice:
- God is the eternal Creator; Strengthener and Provider of all things, He created the universe, man and all things in it.
- Jesus Christ is the only-begotten, virgin born Son of the Father, the Son of God according to the flesh and the very God according to the Spirit. He lived a sinless life, shed His blood for our sins, rose from the grave, ascended into heaven, and will return to the He is the Lord and only Mediator between God and man, our Savior.
- The Holy Spirit convicts of sin, righteousness and judgment; in believers, the Holy Spirit affects the new birth, indwells, fills, empowers, bestows gifts, instructs and guides.
- Salvation is God's grace received through personal faith in the Lord Jesus Christ.
- All men will be resurrected in the body; the saved unto life; and the lost unto damnation.
- Believers have spiritual unity in the Lord Jesus
- The Bible is the inspired, infallible, authoritative, preserved Word of God.
IMF Objectives
Igbo Gospel Ministers Care Forum International
- To bring together all IGBO ministers, to fellowship together to improve the standard of pastoral care/services
- Defend the faith when and wherever need be.
- Encourage strong-leadership training and quality developmental projects supported by the welfare trust fund Impacting the lives of people in our community through propagating the word of God
- To be affirmed as an extension of the spirit, vision, character, and integrity of IMF.
- Provide an avenue for IMF members and their spouses to relate to, strengthen and assist one another by networking together locally, nationally and internationally
- To provide affiliation for ministers, churches or ministers who want to link up with the vision of Christ for the IGBO's to continue building the kingdom of God. Affiliation will attract a fee of two thousand naira (=N=200,000) for the recipient.
- To stand as a quality assurance control and regulatory body in others to maintain discipline, honesty, sanity and good moral probity in Christian
- To equip, elevate, and empower church leaders for effectiveness, efficiency in church leadership and management
- Encourage integrity and accountability among Ministers
- Promote unity and progress among pastors and churches in the IGBO land and beyond.
- Improve communication and standard of ministry among churches
- Stimulate patriotic spirit in the people of Igbo Community
- Improve and encourage networking and sharing of resources among churches
- Provide forum for members to express their view in all matters affecting the gospel ministry in IGBO Community and beyond.
- Embark on projects for the furtherance of the gospel and benefit to the pastors and churches in the IGBO Land and beyond.
- Promote and encourage strong leadership for spiritual; social and economic development of the IGBOS.
